How tuition works

What sets tuition, how it is billed and how to stop, in plain words. The front desk goes through the details before anyone enrolls.

  • What sets tuition

Tuition depends on the class and how many days a week a student attends. Ask the front desk, or come to a first class and we will go through what fits your family.

  • Registration

A one-time registration fee covers a student's file and a first belt when they join. The front desk explains it before you enroll, and you see it before anything is charged.

  • Holding a place and class size

A place is held once registration is complete. The little class holds up to 10 students, and the kids' and teen classes up to 14. When a class is full we keep a waitlist and call families in order.

  • Billing

Tuition is billed monthly by card and is the same each month. The front desk sets it up when a student enrolls.

  • Siblings

A second child in the family is talked through at enrollment, and tuition is adjusted for siblings. The front desk explains how.

  • Leaving or pausing

Enrollment is month to month. We ask for written notice 30 days before a student leaves, by email or at the front desk. A student can pause over a school break if you tell us ahead.

  • Missed classes and make-ups

A missed class can be made up in another class for the same age group and belt color in the same session. Tell the front desk ahead, and they will book it.

  • Uniform, belts and test costs

A uniform is ordered after the first month. Each belt and each belt test has its own cost, which the front desk lists before a student tests. Camp weeks are priced on their own.
